This Privacy Policy explains how hiepnguyen, the developer of the CheckIn app, handles information when you use CheckIn.

Summary

CheckIn is designed to work primarily on your device. Your daily routine names, descriptions, check-in history, reminder times, and app settings are stored locally on your device. hiepnguyen does not operate its own backend server for storing your app data.

CheckIn does use third-party services for subscription and purchase processing, including RevenueCat and the app stores such as Google Play or the Apple App Store, when you choose to purchase or restore a subscription.

Information We Handle

If you use paid features, CheckIn uses RevenueCat and the relevant app store to process subscriptions and purchases.

hiepnguyen does not process your payment card details directly. Payments are handled by the relevant app store and its billing systems.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, CheckIn requests notification permission from your device. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device based on the reminder times you choose.

Import and export

If you use import or export features, CheckIn accesses files you explicitly choose through your device's file picker or share sheet. These actions are initiated by you.

How We Use Information

Sharing of Information

hiepnguyen does not sell your personal information.

CheckIn may share limited information with third parties only as needed to provide subscription functionality:

Your daily routine content, reminder schedule, and check-in history are not uploaded to a hiepnguyen-operated server by the app based on the current version of CheckIn.

Data Retention

Daily routine data and settings remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or replace them by importing different data.

Subscription-related records handled by RevenueCat or the app stores may be retained according to their own policies and legal obligations.

If you export your data, the exported copy is stored or shared according to the action you choose and the services you use.

Data Deletion

You can delete your local app data by uninstalling the app or by removing content within the app.

If you want purchase-related information handled by a third party to be deleted, you may need to contact the relevant provider directly:

CheckIn does not currently provide account creation, so there is no in-app account profile to delete.

Security

hiepnguyen takes reasonable steps to reduce privacy risk by storing app content locally and limiting external sharing to purchase-related services. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting exported backup files that you save or share outside the app.

Children

CheckIn is not intended specifically for children.

International Use

Third-party subscription providers may process data in countries other than your own according to their own privacy terms.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted at the same URL with a revised effective date.
